Ms. Witty is an AV-rated immigration attorney based on peer reviews for ethical conduct, honesty and integrity in the field of immigration law.

In addition to her law practice,Ms. Witty serves as an Adjunct Professor at City University of New York's School of Professional Studies.

Ms. Witty is an active member of the Bar and a sought-after speaker. She has taught immigration law seminars at New York Law School, City University of New York, City Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

She has recently been appointed by the President of the Tennessee Bar Association to serve on the Association's Access to Justice Committee. Ms. Witty is the Chair of the Advocacy Committee for the Mid-South Chapter of American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). She is immediate past Chair of the Tennessee Bar Association's Immigration Law Section. She is past Chapter Chair of the New York Chapter of AILA and is a current member of AILA National's Board of Publications Committee and its Annual Conference Planning Committee.

For over 20 years, Ms. Witty has practiced exclusively in the field of immigration law in both the private and public sectors. She is the former Executive Director of the Office of Refugee and Immigrant Affairs at the Human Resources Administration under Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg. Ms. Witty also served as Director of Legal Affairs for Citizenship New York City, a mayoral citizenship initiative, developed by Mayor Rudolph W. Giuliani, in response to federal Welfare Reform.

A graduate of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and Yeshiva University, Stern College for Women, Ms. Witty is admitted to practice law in state and federal courts in New York, New Jersey and Tennessee, the Sixth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.

Her practice areas include employment-based immigration, religious worker cases; litigation and deportation defense; family-based immigration with a specialty in waivers of inadmissibility; and naturalization and derivative citizenship.
